All the yes to this! Working on full GN schedules for a few years now has really taught me to ‘bank’ time.

Managed an extra page today? Do that four days in a row and I earn myself a weekend. I had great chats individually with Charlie Adlard and Sean Phillips about banking time…and we all agreed that our scarily organised schedules didn’t really match what you expect a comic artist to be, haha. Buuuut, there’s something so satisfyingly scrooge McDuck about reaching a friday morning and realising ‘wow, as I put in extra hours on monday, I can now play a game this afternoon’. Making things easy for future me, when I can manage it, is always nice.

Of course, sometimes…banked time can only be spent on other projects 0_o
